Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi sent letters to the President and Secretary General of the UN Security Council on the situation in Kashmir.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the letters mentioned serious human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and the tense situation in the valley, and the Foreign Minister in his letters also informed about the anti-Pakistan measures by India. ۔
According to the spokesman, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that unilateral action by the Indian government in occupied Kashmir is a violation of UN resolutions and the Geneva Conventions, India wants to change the population ratio in occupied Kashmir through fraudulent elections.
In the letters, the Foreign Minister also mentioned the dossier on Indian state terrorism against Pakistan, and briefed on anti-Pakistan propaganda and EU disobedience.
In his letter, he also raised the issue of Indian firing on a UN vehicle in December 2020 and regional security.
According to the Foreign Office, the Foreign Minister in his letters to the Security Council has made seven demands, including that India immediately end the illegal siege and unilateral measures in occupied Kashmir, lifting restrictions on public gatherings and communication system.
