Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided that after an upset defeat in the Senate elections from the National Assembly, the Prime Minister will again seek a vote of confidence from the House.
Addressing a press conference after the important meeting regarding the Senate elections in Bani Gala, the party’s vice president Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Imran Khan did his best to change the political culture.
The nation is watching this battle to see who stands where. This is the battle of truth and falsehood that we will continue to fight.
Today is a sad day for Pakistan’s democracy. Democrats today trample on democracy.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced that the Prime Minister and his party had decided that the Prime Minister would take a vote of confidence from this House so that it would be clear who stood by Imran Khan’s ideology.
“The result we saw in today’s Senate election reinforced our statement,” he said. Our statement was that in the Senate elections, there will be a market once again and there will be deals of conscience. We had two candidates for the Islamabad seat.
“There was one of our female candidates in whom she had no interest, so she won, while she was interested in the second seat in Islamabad from the beginning, so she was bought and sold in the name of democracy,” he said.
“When such complaints surfaced in the first election, our party leadership took disciplinary action against about 20 members. When we talked about legislation for open ballot, they vehemently opposed it,” he said. ۔
We knocked on the door of the Supreme Court to seek legal opinion. The Supreme Court had directed the Election Commission to conduct transparent elections, which is the responsibility of the Election Commission.
Unfortunately, the Election Commission has failed in terms of transparency.
He said that the face of Ali Haider Gilani and his actions are in front of the nation.
The kind of politics shown by PPP is in front of the nation. When we demanded the use of technology from the Election Commission, he showed disability. Of
Shah Mehmood said that the opposition has no political ideology, they do politics of interest.
The Supreme Court gave a constitutional opinion but also clarified that it is the responsibility of the Election Commission to hold transparent elections.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened an important meeting of party leaders today. The meeting will be held at the Prime Minister’s House at 2 pm today.
The meeting will consider the current political situation.
